EFFT Events for Parents and Caregivers

*NEW* Strengthening Relationships with Adolescent and Adult Children: EFFT Script-Building Workshop for Parents

September 30, 2023 • 10:00am - 2:00pm CT

Facilitated by: Dr. Adele Lafrance, Ph.D., C.Psych 

This workshop is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn simple, concrete and effective strategies to strengthen relationships with their adolescent or adult child. Whether the relationship is strong or currently strained, hands-on support will be provided in small groups, during which individual participation can be active or passive.  Inspired by EFFT, opportunities to develop and review scripts for future use will also be provided, including a powerful universal apology that can be delivered by any parent to their child.

Parents, caregivers, and clinicians welcome.

About the Presenter:

Adele Lafrance, PhD, C. Psych

Dr. Adele Lafrance is a research scientist, co-developer of Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) for eating disorders, and a licensed clinical psychologist. She is also a founding member of the International Institute for EFFT.

Dr. Lafrance regularly provides training for clinicians, school boards, and mental health agencies worldwide. She also makes many practical resources for parents, caregivers and clinicians available on her website. Dr. Lafrance is perhaps best known for her work promoting family-oriented mental health care across the lifespan.

Written cancellations sent to info@efft-texas.com prior to 14 days prior to training will be refunded less $25 administration fee. After the 14-day window, we will be unable to provide any refunds.
